I've created this set of worksheets so my older students can understand the problem. It has vocabulary exercises, comments on sentences ... They have to study this subject because it is part of the English programm, but they should be informed about it so it won't happen to them. The point is to make them think about the real world.
I had a student who had an eating disorder so I know it isn't easy to deal with the situation. It's not easy for teachers, friends but specially for the parents who suffer a lot...
So teachers, be careful and try to handle the question in a sensible and sensitive way because teenagers are influenced by what they read, see, listen and sometimes they can't decide what's best for them. I try to do it and I really hope I can.
